NRC PREPARATORY COMMITTEE - NRC(PREP)

The Preparatory Committee is comprised of the political advisors of the 27 NRC member states. As in the NATO-Russia Council, all decisions are taken by consensus.

The Preparatory Committee meets twice monthly, or more often as necessary. Its aim is to support the NATO-Russia Council. It is responsible for the preparation and follow-up of meetings of the NATO-Russia Council, including the coordination of current business between the meetings.

In this regard, its main activities consist in:

· preparing the working documents for the NATO-Russia Council,

· establishing agendas for each meeting of the NATO-Russia Council,

· scheduling meetings of the NATO-Russia Council.
