Concert of the Kuban Cossack Choir at NATO HQ
The Kuban Cossack Choir, a famous Russian artistic group, performed at NATO HQ on 14 May. The choir’s trip to Brussels was specially timed to coincide with the anniversary of the creation of the NATO-Russia Council. The concert of the Kuban Cossacks at NATO HQ met with rapturous applause from the audience, who greatly appreciated the superb artistic skills of this Russian group. Dmitry Rogozin, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to NATO, and Robert Simmons, Special Representative of the NATO Secretary General for the Caucasus and Central Asia, attended the concert. Speaking to the audience, they emphasized the important role of cultural events such as this in enhancing mutual understanding between Russia and the North Atlantic Alliance.
The State Academic Kuban Cossack Choir was created in 1811 and is one of the oldest choirs in Russia. It is justly renowned for its rich traditions, wonderful singing skills, and inimitable style.
