- Nonlethal Capabilities (NLC) (2009)
- Administration, Bodies and Concepts Relevant to NATO-Russia Cooperation (ABC) (2008)
- Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) (2007)
- Special Operations Forces (2006)
- Maritime Terminology Relevant to Operation Active Endeavour (2006)
- Peacekeeping (2006)
- Combating Terrorism (2006)
- Defence Reform (2005)
- Nuclear Terminology (2004)
- Politico-Military and Military Terminology (2001)

Eight of these glossaries were produced by an NRC Expert Group on Terminology set up in 2004, co-chaired by Dr. D. E. Budgen and Col. V.N. Nyrkov and consisting of specialists from the NATO Russian Language Service and the Military University, Moscow. The aim of these selective glossaries is to facilitate communication between NATO and Russia, but they may also be of use to a wider audience. The work of the Expert Group is on-going and further glossaries are in production.

The Editorial Board gratefully acknowledges the support of the Russian Ministry of Defence and senior NATO officials.
